A progressive web app runs in the browser, installs like an app and needs no app store. Each application here does one thing well: on the move, in the rehearsal room, at the desk, before take-off. The data stays on the device.
Why a web app
Not everything needs an app store.
Many useful tools are small. They do one thing, they should be at hand quickly, and they should not ask for an account first. A progressive web app is made for that: it opens as an address, lands on the home screen with one touch, works offline where that makes sense, and keeps its data on the device.
The same address runs on the phone, the tablet and the desk. GeoMover and LightKit are as much at home on a large screen as in a pocket. That is how the tools can stay free and open – for musicians, pilots, photographers, for anyone who needs them, with no platform in between.

Some tasks repeat, and for some there is no fitting programme. A small web app can close exactly that gap – for an ensemble, an archive, a publisher, a school.
